PRIYOUM TALUKDAR
Priyoum Talukdar is an acclaimed freelance printmaker and painter, known for his innovative approach to traditional techniques, particularly in woodcut printing. Born on September 26, 1984, in Barpeta Road, Assam, Talukdar's artistic journey began with a solid academic foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Graphic Arts from Kokrajhar Music & Fine Arts College in 2008, followed by a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Printmaking from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya in 2010. These formative years provided him with a deep understanding of graphic arts and print techniques, which would shape his distinctive style.
Talukdar is best known for his mastery of woodcut, a traditional printmaking technique that he uses in unique and expressive ways.
