RAMESH KANDAGIRI

Dr. Ramesh Kandagiri is a distinguished artist, art educator, and scholar, deeply committed to the exploration of authentic abstraction and its transformative potential in art. With over 35 years of study, his research focuses on the transcendental visions of the subconscious, driving his unique approach to art as a tool for meta-cognition and trans-cognition. His philosophy centres on the realization of "Para-Realism," a departure from traditional academic realism, and seeks to transcend the limitations of "History as Dead Knowledge" by resurrecting the past through the processes of "individuation" and "mediation," as articulated by Deleuze. In his artistic practice, Dr. Kandagiri rigorously explores creative abstract expression as an endogenous phenomenon that connects deeply with the innermost truths of the self.

As an Associate Professor at Delhi College of Art, Dr. Kandagiri has made a profound impact on the field of art education, mentoring and guiding countless students with his innovative teaching methods.
