Rashesh Chauhan

Rashesh Chauhan is a young artist based in Baroda, Gujarat. Postgraduate in Painting from The M.S. University, Baroda (2017). He enjoys working in metal and found objects. His works are mainly based on his personal visual experience of old parts of the Baroda city. Using the material potential of rust on metal, he works on subject matter that reflects neglect and remembering. Also used found metal boxes to reference architecture, industrial landscapes and old fragments of living structures.

Rashesh has participated in various art events like: - 'Summer Residency, Space Studio, Baroda., National Art Conclave, LLK at Bangalore (2017),

Rashesh has been awarded by Young Artist’s Scholarship by Ministry of Culture and Research, New Delhi ‘WEST ZONE GOLDMEDAL in Painting Category PRAFULLA DHANUKHAR Art Foundation Mumbai. First Prize in Painting Category, FIRST TAKE 2017, ABIR, Ahmedabad.
