G. Latha, an artist based in the Cholamandal Artists’ Village in Chennai, draws inspiration from human relationships and emotional connections. She creates figurative artworks infused with her own unique sense of realism, often focusing on themes such as friendship, motherhood, and sisterhood.
Latha predominantly portrays women in her art, as she feels a stronger personal connection with their stories and experiences. Having grown up surrounded by some of the finest creative minds at the Cholamandal Artists’ Village, Latha was naturally drawn to art from a young age. Her innovative spirit was also nurtured by her father, the renowned graphic artist K.S. Gopal
