Mona Bendre was the wife of the legendary artist N.S. Bendre. She passed away in 2013 and she was 86 then. She did not do many shows; perhaps, two exhibitions, which were not really celebrated. As per her son and artist, Padmanabh Bendre (whose solo was curated by me in 2024 at the TAG), she did not create more than 24 paintings during her prime and many years later did some more.
