N. Ramachandran
(1975)

N. Ramachandran uses a non-representational visual language in his art works, which allows the viewer to interpret it in his own language. Even though the content of his works is inspired by day-to-day living, his themes are based on the theory of probability and a unique idiom. Often, he uses a grid pattern with minimalistic and conceptual overtones but creates a sense of rhythm. Ramachandran uses varied mediums and materials like different kinds of papers, photographs, daily objects as well as silver and metallic colours in his art works. This is a result of constant exploration and experimentation to reach the sub-conscious using colours, forms and textures.
